I should probably upgrade to the most recent version of WordPress (the “blog” platform used here at .net), but I hesitate because I have all these little things (at Assyst we called them “specials”) that I have to “fix” after each upgrade. But either it is this version (2.2.1) or just our super sticky/dirty keyboard, but the last few posts I’ve done have taken way longer than they should in my opinion. I’m sure there are all kinds of shiny & new configs for the Gallery I use too, but that one can take even longer to upgrade & fix.

So should all 3 readers check stewartville.net later in the day and see something goofy going on, it might mean I decided to do the upgrade anyway. Most likely I’ll have started it during a lull in kid activity, in an effort to procrastinate finishing some other project, and then all of sudden it will have been some feeding time, and I’ll have had to abandon the process.

For now, I’ll just leave you with this image from our low-key 4th, as a link into the most recent gallery uploads. We did go into Ames again this year, but had the forethought to park with an exit plan. Had we left 2 mins earlier (before the grand finale) we could have avoided all jams, but at least our wait in the traffic this year went was drastically shorter.
