A week of SAHM

Was dark and rumbly to the west of us earlier and is lightly raining now. Stew had mowed on Saturday and it was really dry with lots of dust and yellowing grass, so this rain I think is timely.
My week with the boys went fairly well, I wasn’t too much more frazzled that I am in general. Cyrus, Milo and I visited just about every park in the Ames metro area during the afternoons Wiley was at his fitness camp. Having 4th of July land midweek was nice (see previous post), although Wiley had a rough time getting back into the routine on Thursday. I should have trusted my instincts and kept him home.
Milo had his 2 month check up on Friday. He weighed 11 lb 8 oz and was 22″ long. His head is 39 and Dr. Smith wasn’t too worried about how the right side of his forehead is a bit bigger… he said we’ll just keep an eye on it and maybe do x-rays at 4 months if he thinks it is called for. Everything else checked out good and he was a good boy during the exam. He got his first vaccinations, which included a new one for rotovirus that he gulped down without complaint… the last two shots aren’t any fun though.
Wiley has taken up photography, check out his cute pictures. Maybe he’ll be an eccentric/misunderstood digital artist. Clearly he has early plot skills, as evidenced by the sequence of this series of still shots he took of his toy cars (made into a .mov file by me): 3 Cars
