We woke up to snow. Stew, Wiley and Warble played in it for a little bit. Most of it has melted away by now.

A Sears repairman came out before lunch, due to some internal wiring on our dishwasher being recalled. He didn’t have to take it out, thankfully, and was able to fix it by removing the front cover of the door. Was gone in under an hour I think. At least Wiley hadn’t finished The Incredibles yet. For the 5th time… Great movie though.

For lunch I made a bean soup concoction and also grilled cheese sandwiches in a relic of the 90s, the Sandwich Maker. No butter, but they turned out well with a shot of Pam on either side. We need to go grocery shopping.

Stew is messing around with Mortal Kombat on the GameCube and I’m still supposed to be doing some freelance pattern work… surfing instead. The boys are napping but I think Cyrus will wake soon for a late lunch.

I got registered for classes on Wednesday. There is an E-Commerce one that I’d like to take this summer but it isn’t showing up in the list of classes to add yet. So right now I’ve got Digital Textile & Apparel Design in early May and Statistical Methods of Research (bleh) in June. For Fall I’m taking all the Textile & Clothing (TC) grad level classes offered, which makes for 13 credits: Foundation of Scholarship in Textiles and Clothing; Interdisciplinary Consumer Aesthetics; Textile Conservation; Research and Applications in Merchandising; and Global Issues in Textiles and Apparel. Ooof.

Last weekend Stew put up some shelving, so I’m hoping to unpack our books one of these days.

We’ve had flocks of blackbirds around lately. They make a big ruckus, chattering away as they invade a field or set of trees. In the sunlight, their heads are an iridescent blue and body has a shiny gold hue to it. That really dark and oily black color that isn’t actually black but a swirl of colors. I tried looking for an image online but couldn’t find anything. I’ll have to take a picture next time, with my new camera. Zoom zoom zoom.
